Her University art studies prepared Fran Drosman for the many years of art and related activities in which she has worked in the years since graduating UCLA. Though her passion these days is working in and teaching the art of mosaic, she has enjoyed working with fiber art, metal working, pottery and jewelry.

Several years ago, Fran experienced first-hand, the creative potential of mosaic work and has been hooked ever since. Her preference in the medium is pique assiette, which utilizes broken ceramic pieces and other found objects in the design. Part of the adventure for Fran when creating a piece, is allowing the materials to dictate the design - always ensuring a unique creation.

Fran's artistic creations have been sold at local galleries and gift shops, as well as private collections. In addition, she has exhibited in juried shows and was an Artist-in-Residence at the 2013 Maccabi Arts Fest.
